Getting started
From an empty account to a signed agreement, and how to bring the clients and catalog you already have with you.
There are two ways to get something signed today, and they need completely different amounts of setup.
If you already have the document — an NDA, a W-9, somebody else’s MSA — upload it, click where the fields go, and send. No catalog, no template, nothing to configure. That path is a few minutes and is covered at the top of Your first quote.
If you want HootQuill to build the agreement — pricing it from your catalog, assembling the wording from your terms, keeping it tied to a renewal date — that needs a client, some catalog items and a published template first. About ten minutes, and it is what makes everything else in the product work.
- Your first quoteClient, line items, send. The whole path from an empty account to a signed agreement, in about ten minutes.
- Importing your clients and catalogBring what you already have in from a spreadsheet. Sample files to start from, and what the importer does with a column it recognises.
